This Master Plan outlines its exciting vision for Scarborough and has helped to guide its transformation into Perth's iconic beachfront destination. The plan includes a range of foreshore improvements to create a contemporary, family-friendly, all-seasons destination, as well as a vision for facilitating private investment and development of key sites across the entire project area.
AbOUT THE SCARBOROUGH BEACH REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Scarborough Beach is one of Perth’s most iconic beaches, sitting just 14 kilometres from Perth’s CBD. Backed by the State Government and the City of Stirling, DevelopmentWA has created one of Australia’s best beachfront destinations.
The redevelopment aims to ensure that Scarborough Beach remains the iconic beach location it has always been whilst creating a vibrant hub of activity with restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment, with a range of events and activities for families and people of all ages, further enhancing its claims of being Perth’s best tourist attraction.
Scarborough Beach is major tourist attraction and a hallmark of WA’s famous beach culture. The revitalisation project has gone a long way to improve the area’s reputation, creating an exciting new destination for everyone to enjoy, day or night at any time of year. It is not only a daytime destination for the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, but also a night venue full of vibrancy for residents and tourists alike.
